Calculus 7E by James Stewart
Overview
We plan to cover Chapters 6, 7, 8, 10, 11, and 12.
This includes techniques of integration, applications, exponentials and logarithms, sequences and series, and polar coordinates.
The pace will be roughly one section per lecture (MWF).
The TR discussion sections will be devoted mostly to examples, questions and answers, and discussing homework.
Homework will be due every Thursday, and there will be quizzes on Thursdays which cover the material of the homework.
The lowest two quiz scores will be dropped.

Exam Dates
Exam 1: February 20, Exam 1 solutions

Final Exam: Tuesday May 5, 10:30-12:30, PHSC 0102 (the usual room)
An index card of formulas will be allowed on the exams. Up to 4 inch by 6 inch and handwritten only, front and back is okay.
Calculators will also be allowed.
This sheet of formulas will also be provided on all the exams.
Missed work policy
No late homework will be accepted.
No makeup exams or quizzes, except in the case of excused absence (illness with doctor's note, etc.).

Calculators are allowed on homework and exams but will generally not be needed.
