I am a fourth-year PhD student in the Mathematics Department at the University of Oklahoma. I am a graduate teaching assistant for the department which allows me to teach undergraduate mathematics courses at OU. See the Teaching tab for more information. My research interests lie in Algebra and Representation Theory. I am currently working under the direction of Jonathan Kujawa.

I am originally from northern Illinois and lived in South Carolina for 7 years before moving to Oklahoma to pursue my PhD. While in South Carolina, I obtained a BS and MS in Mathematics from the College of Charleston. See my Curriculum Vitae for more information.

Science Cafe Norman logo

I co-organize Science Café Norman with Erin Hausmann (another PhD student at OU). Science Café is an informal monthly event where an expert in some scientific field gives an accessible and engaging talk. The idea is to share our knowledge with the general public and pique their interest in the sciences. The Science Café provides a venue for folks to do this who may not have had the opportunity, otherwise.

Science Cafés are not unique to Norman; there are hundreds around the world which take place in libraries, coffee shops, bars, etc. Our Science Café is held at the Norman Public Library's Central location. If you would be interested in speaking, or if you want any more information about the Norman Science Café, please feel free to email me! You may also find a Science Café near you.
