Liftings to GL(2) over a division quaternion algebra.

Saito and Kurokawa in 1970 created counter examples to the Generalized Ramanujan conjecture by creating lifts from one space to another. I will be discussing a paper by Muto, Narita and Pitale which uses a similar method to produce counter examples over GL(2) over Hamiltonians. A big difference in this method which makes it of special interest is the lack of an intermediate space of Jacobi forms.
